Texas Instruments Japan has added a new device to its IMPACTRONTM line-up of ultra-sensitive, charge-multiplication CCDs with the development of the TC246RGB/TC246CYM. This color VGA-format EMCCD sensor is an ideal choice for use in real-time, low-light-level surveillance camera systems because it accomplishes low-light-level color imaging without relying on traditional methods such as long integration times, 3-CCD implementation, or the use of image intensifiers.
